To develop better business relations with South Korean investors, a golf event will be organised in Gurgaon, Haryana, on July 19, an official said Tuesday.
The Haryana government will conduct 'The India Korea Golf Meet', in which chief executive officers (CEOs) of 25 top Korean companies, representatives of Korean Embassy along with secretaries from the central government and the Departments of Haryana government will participate.
"Usually, seminars and conferences are organised for developing business relations but promoting Korean investment through golf is innovative and out-of-the-box idea of the Haryana government," the official said.
Invest India, a national investment promotion and facilitation agency, and the Haryana government are the organisers of this event.
On behalf of the state government, the Department of Industries and Commerce will make arrangements for organising the game and the venue is DLF Golf and Country Club on Golf Course Road in DLF-5 of Gurgaon, said Devender Singh, additional chief secretary, industries and commerce, Haryana.

Devender Singh said secretaries of the central government and departments of the Haryana government have been invited to play with Korean investor's team, including Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Secretary Anand Kumar.
"Some MoUs (memorandums of understanding) might be signed on that day after the golf game," Singh said.
