Power major CESC Ltd today reported almost flat standalone net profit at Rs 112 crore for the third quarter ended December.
"The company has posted a net profit of Rs 112 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 111 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014," CESC Ltd said in a BSE filing today.
The total income of the company increased from Rs 1,270 crore for the quarter ended December 2014 to Rs 1,581 crore for the quarter ended December 2015.

The company is engaged in generation and distribution of electricity and does not operate in any reportable segment, it added.
Commenting on the performance of Spencer's, the retail
arm of CESC, Goenka said it is doing well and is recording a improved sales.
"Performance of Spencer's is improving every quarter. The monthly average same-store sales crossed Rs 1,559 per sq ft during the quarter, up 11.8 per cent on a year-on-year basis," he said.
The acquisition of US-based ISGN business process outsourcing division at an undisclosed sum, is expected to help topline increase by 6-7 per cent. This is the second acquisition in two months by the group.
