Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh calls on Modi

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today called on his Gujarat counterpart and BJP's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi at the latter's residence here.

"Met Chhattisgarh CM Dr Raman Singh in Gandhinagar," Modi said in a tweet and also posted a picture of his meeting with Singh.

Sources said the post-poll strategies were discussed during the meeting.

Like Modi who had led BJP to victory in Gujarat assembly polls in three consecutive terms, Singh too steered his party to score a hattrick in Chhattisgarh in assembly elections.

Singh, amid reports of infighting in BJP in Chhattisgarh, had backed Modi to hilt in the latter's prime ministerial bid.
