A chemist was today arrested for allegedly selling expired medicines as 1.25 lakh outdated tablets were recovered from his shop.
Acting on a tip-off by some patients, the accused identified as Bittu was arrested after 1.25 lakh outdated tablets were recovered following inspection at the shop, police said.
A case under Narcotics, Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act and forgery was registered against him, they said, adding investigation was underway.
