Tax filing platform ClearTax today said it has secured investment of USD 2 million (Rs 13.5 cr) from Sequoia Capital and Founders Fund Angel in pre-Series A funding.
"With this round, we will aggressively invest more in new products which help Indians save more on taxes," ClearTax founder and CEO Archit Gupta said in a statement.
ClearTax has over one million users. It recently raised Rs 8.6 crore (USD 1.3 million) in angel investment from investors like Max Levchin, Neeraj Arora, Scott and Cyan Bannister.

Intel India inaugurates 'Unnati Kendra' at Haryana CSC * Tech major Intel India today shared details of three projects, designed to accelerate digital literacy at the grassroots level in India.
The projects aim at upskilling citizens in tier-II cities and beyond, encouraging innovation from the local level.
Intel India launched its latest 'Unnati Kendra' (UK) at a Common Service Centre (CSC) in Karnal, Haryana.
"This UK at CSC will serve as one of the common access digital learning centers for people of the state and Intel India aims to open several more of these facilities in the state," Intel's MD South Asia Debjani Ghosh said.
Intel India is working with the government to open a network of up to 100 'UK at CSC' facilities across 10 states this year, with 10 such facilities already set up in the state of Telangana.
Star Health launches upgraded Diabetes Safe Insurance policy
* Star Health and Allied Insurance Company has reintroduced its Diabetes Safe Insurance Policy with enhanced benefits at no additional costs.
In the revised policy, a person living with diabetes for any number of years can take a health insurance cover irrespective of their diabetes status in addition to regular hospitalisation cover, a company statement said.
The policy also provides outpatient cover, reimbursement of diagnostic charges and pharmacy bills apart from personal accident cover equal to the sum insured.

Nissan Motor to up production of redi-GO SPORT hatchback * Nissan Motor India today said it is increasing production of limited edition of redi-GO SPORT hatchback by 800 units due to high demand.
"The Datsun redi-GO SPORT version has generated more demand than anticipated and we are happy to announce that the initially planned 1,000 units have been sold out in less than a month. To meet the high demand and delight our customers, we are announcing an increase in production of the car with a further 800 units," Nissan Motor India Managing Director Arun Malhotra said in a statement.
The deliveries will be scheduled next month, it added.

Merchant navy officers to get more time to renew GMDSS-GOC licence
* The government has extended the time period to 6 months for merchant navy navigating officers to apply for the renewal of their GMDSS-GOC licence in order to allow them sail without any delays in future.
The move to renew the Global Management Distress Safety System General Operator's Certificate (GMDSS-GOC) License will enable the officers to have adequate time to renew licences.
The government has extended the period for "applying of renewal of GMDSS-GOC from 3 months to 6 months prior to its expiry vide notification No GSR 186 dated 4th October 2016", the Shipping Ministry said in a statement.
This will enable the officers to have adequate time required to renew their GMDSS-GOC license and they will be able to sail on ships without any delay in future, it added.
