Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today issued directions to set up a panel of advocates to help tribals fight their cases of land dispute.
The panel of advocates would get remuneration from the government to fight the cases of tribals locked in land disputes, an official release quoted Soren as saying.
Reviewing matters relating to Land and Revenue department here, he also emphasised on ensuring a lid on any irregularity in the compensation dispute to the tribals over land disputes.
His direction comes in the background of a debate in the state over Chota Nagpur Tenancy Act that protects tribal land.
