Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today launched the 7/12 utara (extract), a crucial land document, on a digital platform under Digital India Land Record Modernisation Programme (DILRMP) across state.
Initially, digitally signed 7/12 extracts will be available in two districts Nashik and Wardha, and entire record of 7/12 will be online by March 2017, Fadnavis said in a statement.
The decision is expected to provide relief to farmers.

Meanwhile at a summit on land use and allied nuances of development organised by Economic Times this evening here, Fadnavis said though urbanisation in India is 40 per cent, percentage in states like Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu have already reached upto 50.
Earlier governments never did systematic planning for urbanisation. We have miserably failed in making urbanisation sustainable, said the Chief Minister.
For managing urbanisation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started 'Smart City' mission. 65 per cent GDP comes from cities. They are the growth engines, he added.
Mumbai generates lot of sewage water and not a single drop is processed, Fadnavis said, adding his government is working on the same.
He also spoke on efforts for improving public transport, efficient use of land resources, approval to development plans and the coastal road.
