The Andhra Pradesh state government has taken all steps to locate six fishermen, who went missing at sea after they ventured into the Bay of Bengal ten days ago.
Andhra Pradesh's minister for Excise and Backward Welfare K Ravindra said at a press conference here today that Coast Guard and Navy teams have deployed for the search operations.
He said that the state government will take all steps to locate the missing fishermen and the search operation would continue till they are rescued.

Earlier, he visited families of missing fishermen families and consoled them at Gilakaladindi area of Machilipatnam.
Six fishermen had ventured into the Bay of Bengal Sea from the Machilipatnam Fishing Harbour on June 15.
Two days later, they sent a message to the boat owner informing him they were stuck in the sea and sought his help. The boat owner sent a boat to rescue the fishermen, but they remained untraced and there has been no further communication from them so far.
While two of the six fishermen are from Gilakaladindi area of Machilipatnam, four others are from Nellore.
