Colachel port: Public cautioned against cheating by touts

Public were today cautioned not to approach any touts who promise to get jobs in the proposed major commercial port at Colachel (Enayam) in Kanyakumari District of

Tamil Nadu.

At present only the preliminary work related to the establishment of the port was being dealt by an exclusive cell formed involving employees of V O Chidambaranar Port Trust.

The recruitment process would begin only after incorporating the portas a company/trust at the time of commencement of the actual project work, Officer on Special Duty, Colachel (Enayam) Port S. Natarajan said in a release here.

It said the recruitment process would be conducted only by the port authority by duly following government guidelines by way of newspaper advertisements and publicity through website.
 

The released cautioned the public not to get cheated by touts and agents, who were in no way connected with the port, and not to enroll with any recruitment agencies or persons.
