Committee to monitor action taken on Jats' demands in Haryana

Haryana minister Ram Bilas Sharma today said a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Kumar for immediate action on the demands of Jats which were accepted by the state government.

The committee would monitor the action taken on the demands on a daily basis, he added.

The committee comprises Additional Advocate General Kuldip Tiwari, Inspector General of Police, Rohtak Range, Navdeep Singh Virk and lawyer SS Kharb, who will represent the Jat community, as members, said Sharma.

Earlier in the day, Jats called off their dharnas across Haryana, two days after the Manohar Lal Khattar government accepted their demands.
