Press Trust of India Hyderabad
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed officials to complete all the pending irrigation projects in Mahabubnagar district so that water can be supplied to 10 lakh acres of land by next Kharif season.

"Complete all the pending projects in Palamuru and give top priority to these works. Last year we were able to give water to half of the Ayacut (area under cultivation).

"By next Kharif, the entire Ayacut should get water. Other departments concerned should cooperate with the irrigation department. By next year 10 lakh acres should get water," a release from his office quoted him as saying during a meeting with ministers and officials.
