Congress today demanded fresh Lok Sabha polls in the lone seat in Nagaland alleging large-scale proxy voting by supporters of ruling Naga People's Front (NPF) in the April 9 poll.
"We have asked the Election Commission to declare the elections null and void and holding of fresh elections", party General Secretary Luizinho Faleiro said.
He claimed that out of 2049 polling stations, 1348 polled more than 90 to 100 per cent votes.
The AICC also showed a CD purportedly showing a voter casting multiple votes to hammer home the point.
The party has already written to the EC to nullify the poll in which Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio has contested as NPF candidate.
Congress candidate K V Pusa was also present at the briefing.
