Addressing the gathering, Bajwa said despite assurances by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal that the state government did not believe in targeting Congress workers, police was acting in a partisan manner and false cases against Congress workers were being registered.

"Congress rank and file will not sit silent against the repressive polices of Badal government and continue to expose the misrule," he said.
