Congress today dubbed the budget for fiscal 2014-2015 presented in the Puducherry Assembly by Chief Minister N Rangasamy "as most disappointing and directionless."
Puducherry PCC President A V Subramanian said in a release here that no new developmental schemes have been projected in the budget and the schemes promised in the previous fiscal's budget were yet to be brought into action.
Jobless youth are left in the cold as no plan to create jobs for the unemployed had been highlighted in the budget, he said.
The Congress leader said the AINRC government was not inclined to restore democracy in civic bodies as no polls had been announced so far although the term of office of the previous elected municipalities and commune panchayats had come to an end in 2011.
The budget was presented last week.
