Constable shot dead by militants in Kashmir's Bijbehara

Militants tonight shot dead a policeman in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district of Kashmir.

"Some unidentified militants fired upon constable Arif Nazir outside Bijbehara Police Station near a shop," a police official said.

The constable was shot in the head from close range and died on the spot, the official added.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the killing so far.
