Constable suspended for raping woman

A UP police constable has been suspended after he was booked for allegedly raping a woman in the district, a senior police official said today.

A woman had accused constable Santosh posted at Nanpara police station of raping her. Based on her complaint an FIR was lodged againt him, Superintendent of Police Mohit Gupta said.

He said that the constable has been placed under suspension and the matter was being probed.
