A suicide note purportedly written by Pausharya was recovered from the spot in which he claimed that he took the extreme step as he was suffering from some disease, said the ASP.
The note also mentioned that he was unable to get treatment for the illness due to untimely disbursement of his salary and he had not informed about his disease to the family, the ASP added.
"Prima facie we can't predict the exact reason behind his suicide and investigation was on keeping in view all the angles," said the officer.
A case has been registered in this connection, he said adding a probe was on.
Meanwhile, the main opposition Congress today announced a financial aid of Rs 1 lakh to the family of deceased.
"It's unfortunate that the state government has failed to pay salary on time to 'shikshakarmi' teachers. We can't expect anything else when the government is just not able to pay salary only," state Congress chief Bhupesh Baghel said.
Baghel today visited the Koba village to meet the family of the teacher who allegedly committed suicide and announced financial assistance of Rs one lakh to his family.
