Puducherry Cooperative Sugar mill here is set to crush one lakh ton sugarcane during the current season, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy said here today.
He said steps would be taken to produce ethanol as a subsidiary activity of the mill and the management would disburse soon payment due to the farmers for supply of cane during the previous crushing season.
Similarly staff and workers would also be paid the arrears of their wages, he said.
