Copper prices eased by 0.32 per cent to Rs 401.15 per kg in futures trade today, tracking a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand from consuming industries.
Besides, a lower trend overseas weighed on metal prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange,copper for delivery in June month declined by Rs 1.30, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 401.15 per kg in business turnover of 16,389 lots.

In a similar fashion, the metal for delivery in far-month August shed Re 1, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 406.15 per kg in 300 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators due to subdued demand in the spot market amid a weak global trend mainly kept pressure on copper prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, copper in London slid 0.3 per cent to USD 6,199.50 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
