Copper futures traded a shade lower at Rs 322.20 per kg today as participants trimmed their positions, tracking a weak trend in base metals overseas.
Besides, muted spot demand from consuming industries fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November shed 25 paise or 0.08 per cent to Rs 322.20 per kg in a business turnover of 750 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to weak trend in ther base metals pack in global market and sluggish demand at the domestic spot markets.
