Couple attacked by unidentified men, husband killed

A man was today killed and his wife seriously injured after being attacked allegedly by unidentified persons in Maholi town of Sitapur district, a police spokesman said here.

Sant Kumar (22) and his wife Seema (20) were attacked with sharp-edged weapon by unidentified persons while the couple was asleep at their residence in the wee hours, he said.

The spokesman said that while Sant Kumar died on the spot, Seema was seriously injured and admitted to trauma center at Lucknow.

A case has been lodged at Maholi police station in this regard, he said.
