Couple held for lifting infant from govt hospital

A childless couple was arrested Wednesday for allegedly lifting a baby boy from the government hospital here in Madhya Pradesh, police said.

Police have recovered the infant from the couple, Sita Yadav (50) and her husband Chotelal Yadav (52), within a day of the incident by scanning CCTV footages of various areas and tracking down the motorcycle used in the crime, said Civil Lines police station in-charge Praveen Singh Dhurve.

A complaint was lodged by the infant's mother Sulochana Dehariya, he said.
