A couple today allegedly poisoned to death their three children before committing suicide by hanging themselves here, police said.
Murugesan (47) and his wife had mixed poison in food and served it to their two daughters, aged 18 and 16, and their 14-year-old mentally challenged son, they said.
The couple's eldest daughter was having some vision-related problems and they were upset over the condition of their children and decided to take the extreme step, police said.
The couple later committed suicide by hanging themselves, they said, adding, a case has been registered.
