Court allows city police to take Mahima on remand

The Commissionerate Police was allowed by a local court here for custodial interrogation of arrested industrialist Mahimananda Mishra in connection with a 2013 bomb blast case.
The court allowed the city police to take the industrialist on remand for three days beginning tomorrow to question him in connection with the three-year-old case in which two persons were injured in a bomb blast over a land dispute.
Although the bomb blast case was closed, the police reopened it following the arrest of the industrialist by Paradip Police last month in connection with the murder of a shipping company official on October 26, last year.
After questioning the industrialist for a brief period in Paradip last week, the Police had sought the court's permission to take him for custodial interrogation.
