CRPF jawan from Assam attempts suicide in J-K

A CRPF jawan hailing from Asaam today allegedly attempted suicide at his camp in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said the incident was reported from the Bagga company location of the 12th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force in the district when constable P Jyoti Borah allegedly fired from an official AK-47 rifle, upon himself.

They said Borah, a resident of Assam's Golaghat district, was soon after rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is said to be normal.
