CRPF jawan injured in IED blast

"CRPF jawan Balwinder Singh was injured when the IED he was trying to defuse went off. The IED was planted by Naxals near Mudhipani village under Piparchhedi police station limits of the district," SP Ramgopal Garg told PTI.

The incident occurred when the joint party of district police and CRPF was on a combing operation in forests near Kanfad and Mudhipani villages, he said.

Singh, who was admitted to hospital in Raipur, is out of danger, the SP said, adding the search operation was continuing in the region.
