Crude palm oil prices eased by 0.14 per cent to Rs 576.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels amid a drop in demand at spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in December month traded lower by 80 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 576.30 per 10 kg in business turnover of 32 lots.

However, the oil for delivery in January 2017 held steady at Rs 572.40 per 10 kg in 59 lots.

Besides profit-booking by speculators at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, mainly weighed on crude palm oil prices, analysts said.
