Daily wage worker commits suicide by self immolation

: A 65-year old male daily wage worker allegedly committed by setting himself ablaze near his house in Singanallur in the city.

Rangasamy, a daily wage earner, suddenly poured kerosene all over his body and set himself afire early this morning in front of his family members, police said.

Some family members managed to douse the flames and rushed him to the Government Hospital. However he died without responding to treatment, police said.
