David Arquette proud of sister Patricia

'Friends' star David Arquette is proud of his elder sister Patricia Arquette for choosing to talk about equal pay for women in her acceptance speech at the Oscars last month.

The 43-year-old actor said he and the rest of his family were 'completely impressed' by the 'Boyhood' actress' acceptance speech, reported Contactmusic.

"I was completely impressed. We're really just so proud of her. She did it like a trooper," he said.

Patricia was widely praised for her original speech, but attracted backlash for comments she made afterwards when she called on "all the men that love women, and all the gay people, and all the people of colour that we've all fought for to fight for us now".
