Day temperature rises marginally in HP

Kheri, Una and Jogindernagar recorded 12 mm, 9 mm and 7 mm of rains.
The state capital Shimla and adjoining areas were lashed by heavy rains this afternoon and 18 mm of rains was recorded in two hours.
The region remained engulfed in thick fog and humidity rose to 90 per cent, weather office said.
The maximum day temperature stayed at 20 degree Celsius while Una which was hottest in the region recorded a high of 34.4 deg C, an increase of four notches since yesterday.
Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded a high of 32 deg C and 31.9 deg C, compared to 25.6 deg C and 27.4 deg C yesterday while Solan recorded a high of 29.5 deg C, followed by Dharamsala 28.8 deg C, Nahan 27.5 deg C and Kalpa 24 deg C.
The minimum night temperature remained steady at 22.3 deg C in Una which received 6.5 mm rains while Kalpa in tribal Kinnaur district was coldest in the region with a low of 11.4 deg C, followed by Keylong 13.2 deg C, Manali 15.1 deg C, Shimla 16.2 deg C, Mandi 16.9 deg C and Solan 17.7 deg C.
The local MeT office has predicted rains at isolated places in lower hills and most places in mid hills during next 48 hours.
