Deaf and dumb girl raped in Burdwan district

A minor deaf and dumb girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Burdwan district, the police sources said today.

The girl, a student of class VII, was allegedly raped by her neighbour last night at Misbapur village of the district, the sources said.

After her mother lodged a complaint, the police arrested the accused Rehman Sheikh today.

Sheikh was produced before a local court which remanded him to seven-days police custody.
