The Centre will soon take a decision on giving an industrial package to both Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Union Commerce and Industries minister Anand Sharma said today.
The proposals seeking industrial packages for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are under consideration of the Centre and a decision will soon be taken in this regard, he said.
The minister was talking to reporters at the Jollygrant airport here on his way back from Sitarganj where he laid the foundation of a spicepark.
Capital investment subsidy and freight subsidy will be the two salient provisions of this package, Sharma said.
The minister did not specify the time-frame for giving industrial packages to the two Himalayan states.
