The Railways has postponed its decision to do away with the experimental stoppage of mail and passenger trains including Rajdhani at 54 places under East Central Railway till September 30.
Earlier, it was to be done by May-end, but the decision has been put off till September 30 next, Arvind Kumar Rajak Chief Public Relations Officer of ECR told reporters here.
Out of this, there are 47 Mail/ Express trains and 7 passenger trains, he said.

As per the list, New Delhi-Guwahati Rajdhani Express experimental stoppage at Begusarai would be ended. Likewise, Sealdah-Ajmer Express would not stop at Sasaram, Bhagalpur-Anandvihar Garib Rath at Bihta, New Delhi-Ranchi Garibrath at Latehar, Kolkata-Amritsar Express at Parasnath and Shalimar-Gorakhpur UP and DN trains at Sasaram, Rajak said.
He said that so far the decision to stay experimental stoppage of trains under ECR stands till September 30.
During the tenures of Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar as Railway minister, many new halts were opened and train stoppages increased, particularly under ECR.
He said the present Railway budget has allocated funds for completion of all pending projects in Bihar.
