Decrease in prices of select foodgrains

Prices of thoor dal, gram dal, wheat and sooji decreased in the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week under review.

Gram dal opened the week at Rs 7,000 down by Rs 500 per quintal from its closing rate of Rs 7,500 and closed the week at its opening price of Rs 7,000.

Thoor dal was down by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 7,500 from Rs 7,700 and finished the week at Rs.7,500.

Wheat was marginally down by Rs.50 to Rs.2,650 from Rs.2,700 to end the week at same opening rate.

Sooji(90 kg) opened the week at Rs 3,200 and finished Rs 3,100 in the week end.
 

Urad dal (Rs.9,200),moong dal (Rs.7,500),sugar (Rs.4,200) and maida(90 kg) (Rs.2,700) prices ruled steady throughout the week.
