Delhi government today suspended the Executive Director of Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) on the charge of "fraud" in claiming LTC and initiated a departmental inquiry against him.

The action against the official of IPGCL, a Delhi government owned power generation company, was taken on the order of Power Minister Satyender Jain.

Power Secretary Sukesh Kumar Jain said a complaint was received that the official "committed fraud in claiming LTC" and on preliminary inquiry, the allegations were found to be substantiated.

"Departmental inquiry is also being initiated against him. Further, IPGCL has been asked to recover the amount wrongly drawn by the officer along with penal interest," the Power Secretary said.

Yesterday, the government had terminated the services of a government school Vice Principal on the charge of indiscipline, suspended three engineers of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board for poor construction quality of toilets and dismissed a sub-registrar on the charge of taking bribe.
