Delhiites had to sweat it out under a blazing sun today as the maximum temperature shot up to 43 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal, highest in the season so far.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.1 degrees Celsius, two degrees above the season's average, the MeT department officials said.
Humidity in air oscillated between 59 and 28 per cent.

The MeT department predicted partly cloudy skies for tomorrow along with the possibility of dust storms and thunderstorms in some areas.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. Dust storms and thunder storms could occur in some parts of the city," the weatherman said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 43 and 28 degrees respectively, he added.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature had settled at 40.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.8 degrees.
