Deranged man sacrifices infant son

A mentally disturbed man allegedly sacrificed his eight-month-old son at Narainipurwa village in Barabanki district today, police said here.

Rajkumar Kanaujia sacrificed his infant son by hacking him with a sharp-edged weapon while his wife was cooking food, police said.

Kanaujia, who was later arrested, told police that he had a dream last night about sacrificing his son.

The accused is mentally disturbed and is undergoing treatment for the past six months, police said.
