Dhampur Sugar Mills today posted a 21.59 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 64.25 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal on higher income from its sugar and power businesses.
Its net profit stood at Rs 52.84 crore in the same period last year, the Uttar Pradesh-based company said in a regulatory filing.
Net income increased to Rs 783.65 crore in the October- December period of the 2017-18 fiscal from Rs 715.45 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Expenses, however, rose to Rs 699.50 crore in the third quarter of this year as against Rs 624.29 crore earlier.
Shares of the company rose by 4.05 per cent to settle at Rs 190.05 on the BSE today.
