Differently abled girl 'Country's Golden Voice'

Young singer Sayani Palit was crowned the 'Country's Golden Voice' pipping other contestants.

The differently abled singer, having rendered her voice in numerous Bengali flicks including Pendulam, had a clear edge over other finalists from across the length and breadth of the country.

Impressed by the singing prowess of the young girl, Bollywood's Shankar Mahadevan said: "Sayani has God gifted voice. She will soon do playbavk for a film."

"When she sang during the contest she embodied the soul of music," Shankar said.

Out of 91,000 entries there were finally 12 contests in the finals and after a nation-wide talent hunt, Sayani Palit has been announced as the Benadryl BIG Golden Voice 2 sensation by us," he said.
 

A beaming Sayani said, "I'm extremely excited. The feeling is yet to sink in."

"I am happy with Sayani's progress. Whenb she mouths lines it seems to come from deep within her," popular musician Moinak 'Bumpy' Nag Chowdhury, who has been a pillar of support for the girl and made her sing in two back-to-back Bengali film playbacks, said.
