Lok Sabha today could not take up a discussion on Demand for Grants of Chemicals and Fertilisers Ministry and it was postponed for tomorrow because of differences between the ruling BJP and opposition Congress.
After the House approved Demand for Grants of Drinking Water and Sanitation, the ruling side wanted discussion to be taken up on Chemicals and Fertilisers which was listed in the day's business.
Congress members, however, opined that it should be done tomorrow, drawing reactions from the Treasury benches.

BJP member Arjun Ram Meghwal said it was earlier decided that discussion related to Chemicals and Fertilisers Ministry would be taken up today.
"We are co-operating (with the government) from morning till evening...," Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge said while favouring its deferment till tomorrow.
He referred to the lack of quorum in the afternoon that had delayed the start of post lunch proceedings in the House.
Kharge said the House took up discussion under Rule 377 (matters of public importance) instead of discussion on Demand for Grants of Drinking Water and Sanitation as the concerned Minister was not present.
As Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai also favoured taking up of the discussion, Kharge said an impression should not be given that "they (government) are ready but we are not ready". He then asked his colleague K V Thomas to initiate the discussion.
However, as the exchanges continued, Thambidurai adjourned the House.
