DMK treasurer M K Stalin today alleged that ministers of the ruling AIADMK were indulging in violating poll code for the June 27 R K Nagar constituency bypoll from where Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is seeking re-election.
"Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's Cabinet colleagues have encroached the constituency (RK Nagar) fully and are violating the poll code," Stalin said in a Facebook post.
Referring to today's election campaign of Jayalalithaa in R K Nagar, he alleged the ministers had "instigated local schools" to indulge in poll code violations "by closing down schools in view of the Chief Minister's campaign."

"By intimidating the (local) schools, an unofficial shutdown of schools was announced by sending SMSs to parents," the DMK leader alleged.
However, he did not elaborate as to how many schools were allegedly "closed," why it was done and its link to the campaign of Chief Minister.
