DMK stages demo
DMK staged a demonstration in
front of the head post-office here today demanding that Thanjavur be declared as drought hit district.
The protest was led by S.Kalyanasundaram, DMK district secretary.
The protesters also demanded that suitable compensation be paid to the next of kin of farmers who allegedly committed suicide and to those who lost their crops.
