DSP arrested in Rajasthan for taking bribe

A deputy superintendent of police was arrested on Friday for taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 in Rajasthan's Bikaner district, a spokesperson of the anti-corruption bureau said.
DSP Mehmood Khan had demanded Rs 2 lakh from the complainant to arrest the accused in a dowry death case, he said.
The officer had received Rs 50,000 from the complainant. He was caught red-handed while accepting another Rs 50,000 on Friday after a trap was laid by the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) team, the spokesperson said.
A case has been registered against the accused officer under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
