The patient's husband Pawan Sharma in a complaint to the hospital director Umesh Khurana alleged that the doctor on duty had been negligent and dropped the new born soon after his birth on August 22. The infant developed health complications and had to be rushed to the ICCU.

He also demanded punishment of the doctor on duty.

Hospital sources said the infant was undergoing treatment in the ICCU since August 22 and departmental investigation showed the doctor was not at fault.
