Edible, non-edible oils end firm on good demand

Groundnut oil prices rose further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today on sustained demand from stockists and retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts.

Refined palmolein also recovered slightly owing to mild retail offtake.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial advanced following good demand from shippers and soap industries.

Linseed oil strengthened on the back of persistent demand from paint and allied industries.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil climbed by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 1,170 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,150 and refined palmolein edged-up Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 582 from Rs 580.
 

In non-edible section, castorseed bold went-up by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,335 from its overnight level of Rs 3,320, while castoroil commercial added by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 697 as against Rs 694 previously.

Linseed oil also gained by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 1,010 compared with Rs 990 yesterday.
