Editors Guild condoles demise of Chakrabarti

95-year-old Chakrabarti, who had worked with 'The Hindustan Times', 'The Statesman' and Bengali daily 'Aajkaal', breathed his last at his residence in Chittaranjan Park in south Delhi yesterday.

In a statement, the Guild said Chakrabarti had a long and accomplished career in journalism that started in 1943 with 'Vanguard' edited by radical humanist M N Roy.
