Eicher Polaris, the joint venture between Eicher Motors Ltd and Polaris Industries, today launched the first personal utility vehicle Multix BS IV in Kerala, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu.
The Multix Bharat Stage IV is powered by a diesel engine and is priced at Rs 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom Jaipur).
The company had launched the vehicle in 30 cities across 13 states and is planning to cover 100 cities by December.

The company claims that the vehicle will provide a fuel economy of 27 kmpl. It will be available in two variants AX+ and MX and in four colours, a company statement said.
"We are ready to meet the growing interest in Multix, which is a ground up innovation, designed and engineered for independent businessmen. The initial response to Multix has been rewarding," said Radhesh C Verma, Chief Executive Officer, Eicher Polaris Pvt Ltd.

Eicher Polaris has invested about Rs 350 crore towards product development and setting up a world-class manufacturing facility at Jaipur, Rajasthan. The plant has a capacity to produce 60,000 units, which can be scaled upto 1.20 lakh units.
The Multix range is designed and engineered to suit family, business. The vehicle comes with a cabin space and can accommodate five persons, the statement said.
Eicher Polaris has entered into a strategic tie-up with IndusInd Bank, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd., Sind Bank, Hinduja Leyland Finance and Shriram Finance to provide retail finance options, it added.
