A 61-year-old man was today shot at allegedly by a man in north Delhi's Timarpur area, police said.
A suspect has been taken into custody, they said, adding his role in the crime is being probed.
The assailant, who was riding a scooter, attacked S D Sharma when he stepped outside his office to buy something from a nearby shop, police said.
The attacker escaped from the spot after brandishing his gun. He although left behind his vehicle, they said.
Sharma, who suffered injuries on his back, is being treated, police said.
The police added that the incident might be a fallout of a dispute between the victim's son and daughter-in-law.
