Elderly woman charred to death

A 75-year-old lady was charred to death today at Nari Village in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Yaluk Gamlin was burnt alive in the fire which gutted her dwelling at around 11 am, the police said.

She was alone in the house when the incident happened and her son Tape Gamlin was out of the house.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The fire also destroyed all the household items including the granary and partially damaged the adjacent house of Tade Gamlin, the police said.
