Elderly woman mowed down by goods train in Jharkhand

An elderly woman was mowed down by a goods train near Haidar Nagar railway station in Jharkhand's Palamau district, police said.

The incident took place when the sexagenarian woman, who is yet to be identified, was crossing the railway tracks on Saturday, an officer said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem.
